ntndOS alpha terms

1. About the alpha
ntndOS is experimental software offered for free evaluation during the alpha. Access may be open or may require an invitation, depending on the release and available capacity. It is unfinished and may change, fail or become unavailable. It is not offered as a production-ready or mission-critical service.
Applying does not guarantee an invitation, release date or availability on a particular platform. Where invitations are required, we select testers according to the needs and capacity of the programme. The alpha signup also subscribes you to ntnd product updates, including alpha announcements, new features and releases. You can unsubscribe from product updates anytime.
2. Joining the alpha
You must be at least 18 and authorised to accept for yourself or the organisation you represent. The release information or, where applicable, your invitation identifies the build and any access limits.
We provide these terms, the app privacy information and release notes before you accept. Applying or verifying your email does not accept the software licence.
3. Your permission to use ntndOS
After accepting these terms and meeting any access requirements for the release, you may install and evaluate the identified build for your own testing or your organisation's internal evaluation, within the stated access limits. This permission is non-exclusive and non-transferable.
There is no ntnd participation fee for this test and no automatic paid subscription. Future paid services require a separate agreement. Model providers and other services you connect may charge separately.
Do not redistribute private installers, share personal access credentials, sell access, bypass access restrictions or use ntndOS unlawfully. Open-source components retain their own licences, and nothing here removes rights granted by those licences or applicable law.
4. Test carefully
The alpha may produce incorrect results, change or lose data, or behave unexpectedly. Updates may change file formats or require a reset. Start with sample or non-sensitive data, keep independent backups and use a separate test workspace.
Agents can use connected tools to run commands, change files or communicate with outside services. Review outputs and proposed actions, grant only the permissions needed and set spending limits with providers. Permission controls reduce risk; they do not guarantee that unfinished software cannot fail.
Do not connect irreplaceable records or high-value systems during this test. Do not rely on outputs as professional advice or as the sole basis for consequential decisions about people. An action outside your permission is not automatically authorised simply because an agent performed it.
5. Connected services and your material
Local-first does not mean offline-only. Cloud models, chat and other integrations may receive information needed for the features you use. Their terms, charges and data practices also apply. Only connect accounts and use material you are authorised to access.
You retain your rights in your files, prompts and other material. These terms do not transfer ownership of your company knowledge to ntnd. Rights in generated outputs depend on applicable law and relevant provider terms; we do not guarantee that an output is exclusive, accurate or free of third-party rights.
Feedback is optional. You allow us to use suggestions to improve the product without an obligation to pay for them. This is not permission to publish your private files, use your name as an endorsement or train models on your personal data. Redact secrets from support messages and attachments.
6. Support and ending participation
We do not offer guaranteed uptime, compatibility, response times or delivery of roadmap features. Release notes describe the particular build; demonstrations and development plans are not a delivery commitment.
You can leave the alpha by telling us and stopping use. We may suspend access or end the test for security, misuse or operational reasons. Where reasonably possible, we will give notice and an opportunity to resolve a breach; urgent protection may require immediate action.
When permission ends, stop using private builds covered by it. Keep your own source files and backups. Any build-specific licence expiry or technical access restrictions must be explained before acceptance. Ending access does not authorise remote deletion of your personal files.
7. Assumption of risk, warranties and liability
You voluntarily participate in an experimental alpha and accept the risks of testing unfinished software. These include incorrect outputs, interruptions, data loss or corruption, unintended agent actions, security failures and charges from connected services. Use a separate test environment, non-sensitive data, independent backups and appropriate permission and spending limits.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ntndOS and the alpha services are provided “as is” and “as available”, without express or implied warranties, including warranties of satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability or non-infringement.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you waive and release claims against ntnd.ai and the people providing the alpha for loss or damage arising from your participation or use of the alpha. This exclusion covers direct and indirect loss, lost data, revenue, profits or opportunities, business interruption, and costs arising from agent actions or connected services, whether a claim is based on contract, negligence or another legal basis, even if the possibility of that loss was known.
These exclusions do not apply where the law does not permit them. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud or deliberate misconduct, or for gross negligence, death or personal injury where liability cannot lawfully be excluded. Mandatory consumer rights, data-protection rights and statutory remedies remain unaffected. No wording here prevents a complaint to an authority or binds someone who has not agreed to these terms.
Use our contact form if you would like us to try to resolve a problem.
8. Changes
We will explain material changes to these terms or responsibility for the service before they take effect and obtain agreement where required. A transfer does not erase existing rights or liabilities. Applying, opening an email or remaining subscribed to news does not accept materially different software terms.
These terms do not select an exclusive court or displace the law that applies to you and the service.
